Renewal

SARA North Carolina would like to thank you for renewing your SARA participation for another year. Your continued support is greatly appreciated.

Note: You may locate your renewal anniversary date on the Welcome Letter you received from NC-SARA.

Renewal Process

Prior to submitting your renewal application, please ensure that the items listed below are included with the application and appear on your website.

Application Submission

  1. The Chief Executive Officer (e.g. President or Chancellor) or Chief Academic Officer (e.g. Provost or VP of Academic Affairs) must sign the renewal application
  2. Institutions may submit the renewal application via email or postal mail.
  3. Independent and private institutions must submit their Financial Responsibility Index Score.
  4. One check for the SARA North Carolina fees must accompany the application. The SARA North Carolina fees are set at the same dollar amount as the National Council for SARA fees. However, they are separate fees. To obtain an invoice, please click access invoice here or click on the Fees page.

Professional Licensure Disclosures

  1. We can no longer use the phrase "it is the student's responsibility..." or instruct students to consult other states on their own without providing more information.
    Note: Many institutions have recommended the student contact the degree program within the institution directly prior to enrolling into the course or degree program.
  2. Please provide the contact information for the Professional Licensing Boards, per state, that correspond to the degree programs you plan to offer.
  3. If your institution does not offer a degree program that leads to professional licensure, please state that on your website under a heading that says Professional Licensure.

Miscellaneous

  • Please ensure that when a search is performed for student complaint, state authorization and/or professional licensure, the link to the webpage that lists the items listed above is within the top five (5) search results. For example, when a search for state authorization is performed, a link to the page that lists the above information should appear within the first five results returned.
